Drawing a through-line between Swedish and American craftsmanship, TOTEME Aspen celebrates the cultural heritage of craft through contemporary aesthetics. Elements blend the artisanal and the austere in a warm, naturalistic environment that reflects the local mountain lifestyle.

A graphic tapestry, handwoven in Sweden using traditional techniques, wraps the space and appears in rugs and upholstery, while a series of dreamy, landscape-like chemigrams by Åke E:son Lindman introduces a more experimental note; titled ’Terra Ignota’, Latin for 'foreign lands', the works are created using chemicals applied directly to light-sensitive paper. 



Custom furniture and vitrines are crafted from solid birch, a tree common to both Sweden and Colorado; each slice of wood is selected for its visible knots, adding to the store’s material narrative.
